Thinkboard
This weeks Thinkboard is based on the volume of the area and Perimeter. The question asked... "The measurements of a cube are 9cm high, 7cm in length, and 4cm in width." To get the answer I used partitioning in time tables. First I did 7 x 9 = 63 x 4 = 252.

During our Maths time me and and my two friends have filled out the questions that our Maths Teacher Miss Clark has developed. It teaches us what strategy we use to the that question.
We used Place Value.

Term 2 Week 3 Maths
1. 450 x 2 = 900 + 0.5 = 900.50
2. 725 x 2 = 1450 Double it = 2900.50
3. 12.50 x 3.0 = 750.00
4. 84 divided by 7 = 12
or 12 x 7 = 84
5. 216 divided by 12 = 18
12 x ____ = 216 Answer is 18
6. 390 divided by 15 = 26
7. 18 + ____ = 48
18 + 2 + 20
20 + 28 = 48
Add 28 + 2 which equals 30. : Answer - 30
8. 125 + ___ = 780
125 + 5 = 130
130 + 70 = 200
200 + 500 = 700
700 + 80 = 780 Answer: 655
9. 669 + ____ = 3240
669 + 1 = 670
670 + 330 = 700
700 + 300 = 1000
1000 + 2240 + 3240
Answer is: 2871
