During our Maths time me and and my two friends have filled out the questions that our Maths Teacher Miss Clark has developed. It teaches us what strategy we use to the that question.

We used Place Value.

As you can see on the left side of this google drawing we have 10 similar question compared to the one in the middle. The question asks...

Diary Entry

Day one:

At first I couldn’t believe that the day had come to voyage to Rapanui (Easter Island.) It was unbelievable seeing all the food being packed on board the waka. A lot of things were swirling around in my head like, if we were going to make it or not, or if we were going to have enough food for us to survive. But I knew that we would be fine. Because if our ancestors could sail there surely we could do the same. We were then repeating history.

While tears were pouring out of my eyes, I slowly said goodbye to my family. As the waka sailed out to sea I was thinking if we were going to have some good time or bad times? It didn’t really matter because we were going to have them both. I was also looking forward to seeing how good our surviving skills were.

Day thirty:

It is day thirty and we are halfway to our destination, Rapanui (Easter Island.) We are a couple of hours away from a little break on another island. I am feeling surprised that I handled it to this very moment. I wasn’t expecting that. We still had quite a while to go to get to we we want to but it has been an astonishing journey.

A couple of hours have passed and we are taking a break on a island. As the waka Te Aurere was sailing into shore there were people doing hakas and everything. I was quite glad that we had another pit stop again because I kind of missed land. I am missing my family because I was around peoples families, and it made me homesick.

Robin Williams

1951-2014 Robin Williams life sadly ended tragically. Robin Williams was a guy who had everything. He had money a life and a family. He was also a comedian an American Actor, Producer and screen writer. Robin was nominated academy award for best actor 3 times and won Academy award for best supporting actor.

Robin Williams was born at St Luke's hospital in Chicago. His mother Laurie McLaurin was a model from Jackson Mississippi. He had 2 brother s and 1 sister. He also had his own children. Their names were, Zelda Rae Williams, Zachary Pym Williams, Cody Alan Williams. My favourite movies that he was in was Mrs Doubtfire. There's also more movies he's been in as well like... The Crazy ones, Dead Poets Society. 

Robin Williams was a great guy. I wish that he never committed suicide because he was one of the best actors in the world! I will mis him and his funny jokes. He will never be forgotten. R.I.P Robin Williams.

Writing Motivation - Cold Morning

While waking up for school, I felt a chilli breeze swoop through my room, leaving me shiver in my bed. I thought in my head, “I don’t want to get up, maybe later it might become warmer.” 1 hour later.... “Oh no I am going to be late.” I quickly got ready and left for school.

As soon as I opened the door to go outside, a brisk wind made it’s way into my home. I couldn't believe I had to walk in that. I wanted to stay and have breakfast but then I would've been more late and get into more trouble. So I decided to not go with that idea. I took my first step outside into that freezing cold, and my jacket just started flapping. My teeth were chattering and I had goosebumps around my body.

My lips began to turn purple as soon as I got to the end of the street, (And it’s not even that long of a walk.) My stomach was so hollow it couldn’t stop itself from rumbling. And Every breath I took steam would come out when I blew out.

When I was making my way into the classroom, I quickly ran towards the heater. But I was still on detention and I was still hungry.

Gangnam Style

A very famous artist Korean guy named Psy created a song. Well every artist creates songs. But this one was so famous that it had been going on for like 2 - 3 years. People made videos about the song Gangnam Style and did the dance over and over again like Psy. Some even dressed up and pretend to be the famous artist. This song is so catchy it has a great beat to it.

Did you know on December 21st , Gangnam style was the first ever YouTube video to reach a billion hits. That is how famous it was. On May 31st, 2014, the music video has been viewed over two billion times on YouTube, and it is the site's most watched video.
