The Time Something of Mine Went Missing
Recently I got a new phone. It wasn’t flash but it was good enough for me. The phone was a android and had everything a phone should have. Not one glitch in this phone at all. I liked my phone, it had games, music, and could take amazing photos, until one day! My phone went missing.
On the day it went missing I had just woken up. The night before we had just come back from my Uncle's funeral. Opening my eyes I just remembered I needed to get in touch with my sister because she was staying at my nan’s. I reached out for my phone. I couldn’t find anything. While I was getting out of bed, I was wondering where it could be.
It was important that I find my phone because if I didn’t get in touch with my sister, she wouldn’t know how to come home. I started looking! Under the bed? No! Between the couch? No! “Aroha, do you know where my phone is?” Aroha was my cousin that was looking after me. She replied without any care, “No.” I knew she wouldn’t take any notice, but to me this was serious.
Half the day passed by. I started thinking. “Could my phone be still at the marae?” I didn’t want to think that it could be, but there was a possibility. Aroha and I took a walk to Glen Innes Town Center. We used the phone box. I called my mum. “Mum have you seen my phone?” “Yes it’s here at the Marae you left it here. I’ve already called your nan and your sister will be dropped off tomorrow.” As soon as I heard those exact words I was relived.
The rest of my day went on fine, and not another worry went through my head. I hope that nothing like that ever happens again!

ANZAC Memorial
On Friday the 24th of April, it was Poppy Day. The next day was of course ANZAC day but due to schooling and everything we had it on Friday. The schools all made their way out to the Memorial Garden and all waited patiently for it to start. Mr Burt spoke then the Reveille started. Just watching everyone listen was really heart-warming and lovely.
As soon as it finished I spoke.
E kore ratou e koroheketia
As soon as it finished I spoke.
E kore ratou e koroheketia
Penei i a tatou kua mahue nei
E kore hoki ratou e ngoikore
Ahakoa pehea i nga ahuatanga o te wa.
I te hekenga atu o te ra
Tae noa ki te aranga mai i te ata
Ka maumahara tonu tatou ki a ratou.
E kore hoki ratou e ngoikore
Ahakoa pehea i nga ahuatanga o te wa.
I te hekenga atu o te ra
Tae noa ki te aranga mai i te ata
Ka maumahara tonu tatou ki a ratou.
Ka maumahara tonu tatou ki a ratou.
Saying the ode in Te Reo Maori was really honouring and respectful, in the name of those soldiers who fought for our country. "Right now, we will observe a minute of silence," said gently Mr. Burt. Standing their during that minute of silence, looking at the crosses really made me realize how much courage the soldiers had. Millions of things were swirling in my head, like... How brave they were, how much love they had for their family. I was really glad that we had the memorial in remembrance of those soldiers.
That day was really respectful and honouring at the same time. It makes me proud and I'm sure others would feel this too to have a memorial in the name of soldiers. 100 years ago we had loved ones fight for our country. Never in many years or infinity will we forget them.
WE WILL REMEMBER THEM! Lest we forget!

The Voice Kids
There is a programme on T.V 2 called the Voice. It is on 7.30 at nights at is a breath taking away event. There was an adult version of this show not so long ago, and now it is a kids version. It has just started Friday night last week but is still a fun and programme to watch.
There has been all kinds of ages like.. 9, 6, 7, and many more. The show is about kids who sing their hearts out and they have four judges there to turn around. If all four turn around then the kid has to choose only one. And if one judge only turns around then they either go with the judge or leave.
The judges are.. Mel B, Delta Goodrem, The Madden Brothers, and Ricky Martin. They are the best judges the kids could ever have. The last judges for the adult version were, Joel Madden, Ricky Martin, will.i.am, and Kylie Minouge. The winner for that season was Anja Nissen. She was the best.

2nd part of my holiday
Oh where were we???? Oh yes..... Rygdes hotel. It was so fancy. There restraunt was extraordinary. There food was delicious, and there bar was so full of drinks me and my sister had an mocktail. It was for kids of course but it had a tropical flavour, which made it even better.
When we finished our burger we went back to our room. We watched a bit of T.V the went to sleep. There beds just topped it off. When the birds chirped and the lae shimmered I woke up feeling so happy, because of what we had in store for the day. We were going to do....... Uh that'S enough for today. To be continued!!!!
