My highlights of the term

Today is the last day of term 2, and so we are going to be writing our highlights of the term.

My highlight of the term was going to Kelly Tarltons, because I have never been there before, also because it was interesting. I loved the penguins. They were so funny. The way those penguins were waddling were so cute. Also I loved being in choir. I love choir. Singing is like my only talent. Choir is a good way to express your feelings. I love singing/ Choir.

That is my highlight for this term. Hope you liked it.

What is THAT!

Something was crawling up foot, and as I looked down....... “ AHHH “. I screamed. “ What is it “. I yelled. “ It can’t be”. My sister said. “ It can’t be what “. I screamed with fear. “ It’s the Hypnotiser bug “. My sister exclaimed while staring longingly at the bug. “ What can it do to me “. I replied back. “ It can’t just do something to you, it can do something to all of us. It can hypnotise all of us. But we will be able to stop the Hypnotise bug before it hypnotise everybody”. My sister replied back to me, while still staring at the filthy bug.

“ We at least have to burn the Hypnotiser bug“. My sister said in a mysterious way. “ Oh okay then I just don’t want to be hypnotised”. I replied to my sister while walking away. “ Wait we need a liter and some paper and some gas”. My big sister exclaimed.

So then we grabbed some, Paper, a liter and some gas from the gas station. We all walked back to mountains. My big sister started the fire and grabbed the Hypnotiser bug of my foot and, chucked it in the fire. She added some wood and gas, to make the fire real big. Then the fire went down and the Hypnotiser bug was burnt. And there was no more Hypnotiser bugs.

School Holidays

The school holidays are coming up and me and my family are going away. We were going to spend more time together with my big sister ( Breanna ) because we hardly see her and she doesn’t live with us. She lives with my aunty and uncle in Remuera.

I can’t believe it’s the school holidays already. That is so quick. Although I just came back to school in week 7, and it is week 10 now. It has only been 3 weeks. We finish school this week. I love the school holidays but then I don’t like it. Why? you ask. Because when it’s time to go to school I don’t want to that’s why.

In the school holidays it is really fun but also sad because you are having the time of your life but then it ends because school. But I really love school. When I’m at home and I am ready to come to school I don’t want to go but then when I’m at school, I am glad I came.

On the the last day of school we go to the hall. Mr Burt talks about the three R’s which are Rails, Roads and Rivers. Then we say SCHOOL HOLIDAYS!! Really really loud. Then we say goodbye to our teachers and give them a big hug and then we leave.

We have already had a set of our holidays and this is our second part of our holidays WEE HOO!!

School Holidays

Trip To Kelly Tarltons

While walking into the doors of Kelly Tarltons I thought, " Where are all the fishes and Sharks and Penguins ". But then we walked a bit further and there I saw the Penguins. As I was looking at the Penguins swimming in the water, something happened...... I slipped by accident. It hurt so badly but I recovered and just carried on.

Before we left school we brought our Netbooks. So when ever I saw interesting things I take pictures and videos of what is going on.

We looked at all the other fishes and sharks, but then it came to the time when we had to go to the school room. It was so exciting. The teachers name was Janice. She told us about Penguins. Also what clothes they wore back in the days and the clothing they wear now.

She told us about Emperor Penguins and here are some facts about them:

Where it lives: It is only found in Antarctica.

What it eats: They eat fish,crabs,shrimp, krill and squid.  

What it looks like: They have a black head, chin and throat. They have patches of yellow on their throat and near their ears. They have short wings that help them to dive. They have brown eyes.

Weight: They weigh about 60 to 90 pounds.

Height: They are about 36 to 44 inches tall.

And that is what the teacher Janice taught us in the School Room.
